Wow - today was a listening day. Interesting things we can do with our technology!
I enjoyed playing with Inspiration the most, althouhg ClozePro looks like it may become a favorite.
Still with kurzweil in mind: I have been struggling with how to work with math and word problems for my students who need reading support. Finally the light dawned! I have created worksheets on Kurzweil, leaving spaces for students to show their work. Then, I have them open the files in Smart Notebook and, using a airport (I think that's what we call them, or maybe a tablet) have them do the work with Ink Aware software, save the files and then emial them to me. PROBLEM SOLVED! The 2 students I have tried it with (very technically minded) thought it was great fun.
another thing that came to mind as we worked with various text/speech software: how do we be aware of the fluidity of language when we are using spell check? As words become "verbified" or "nounified", do we accept them in our student's work? Just a passing thought ...
